TIMOTHY BRUM
R M MACE
Timothy Brum is the compelling story of a lost 9-year-old boy who runs away from a children’s home in Birmingham and hitches a lift to London. He is faced with horrendous possible outcomes, but is helped by a “tramp”. In the meantime his parents, who live in rural Worcestershire, have never given up hope that he is still alive. (It is not suitable, however, for under-14s.)
This short novel follows in the footsteps of Dickens, with Oliver Twist, taking the reader onto the streets of contemporary London to see it through the eyes of a boy.
“Beautifully written, a moving story which touches on many of the problems of our day while keeping things in the perspective of the Christian Gospel.” —
Rev. Jennifer Whittaker, Assistant Priest, The United Benefice of Martley, Wichenford and the Lower Teme Valley
